The Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary honours the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Rosary as a prayer centred on the life of Christ. Through its mysteries, the faithful contemplate the joyful, luminous, sorrowful and glorious events of salvation, drawing closer to Jesus with Mary as their guide. 

The memorial is celebrated each year on October 7. The Rosary has long held an important place in Catholic devotion and is especially associated with prayer, contemplation and trust in Mary’s intercession.
