A Weekend of Thanks to Father Marc Parent and Father Charles Ryan

As Father John prepares to return to Our Lady Queen of Peace next weekend, this weekend marks the conclusion of a very special period of ministry in our parish.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Father Marc Parent and Father Charles Ryan, who have generously cared for our parish and celebrated our Masses during Father John’s absence.

Parishioners are warmly invited to join us this weekend:

Saturday, August 22 — 5:00 p.m. Novus Ordo Mass with Father Marc

Sunday, August 23 — 10:00 a.m. Novus Ordo Mass with Father Marc

Sunday, August 23 — 12:00 noon Latin Mass with Father Ryan

This will be Father Marc’s final weekend celebrating our Novus Ordo Masses at Our Lady Queen of Peace this summer. We are deeply grateful for his generous priestly ministry and for the care he has shown our parish during these past weeks.

Following his time with us, Father Marc will soon continue his ministry at Our Lady of the Rosary in Colwood, where he will temporarily step in for Rev. William Hann.

Sunday will also mark Father Ryan’s final Sunday at Our Lady Queen of Peace. We are equally grateful to him for celebrating our Latin Masses and ministering to our Latin Mass community during Father John’s absence.

Their willingness to be with us has allowed both of our Sunday Mass communities to continue to gather for the celebration of the Eucharist throughout Father John’s time away, and we are sincerely thankful to them both.

As we prepare to welcome Father John home, please join us in keeping Father Marc and Father Ryan in our prayers and in offering them our heartfelt thanks.
