BE THE LIGHT
—2026 Annual Bishop’s Appeal—
The 2026 Bishop’s Appeal — Be the Light — invites Catholics throughout the Diocese of Victoria to share the light of Christ through support for our parishes, ministries and communities near and far. Our Lady Queen of Peace has a parish goal of $18,000 this year, with our parish portion helping to replenish our contingency fund.
2026 Bishop’s Appeal — Campaign Dates & Our Goal
The 2026 Bishop’s Appeal is the Diocese of Victoria’s annual fundraising campaign, supporting ministries and needs throughout the Diocese while also directly supporting our own parish.
This year’s active campaign runs throughout October, with donations continuing to be accepted through December 31.
Our Lady Queen of Peace has a parish goal of $18,000.
How Your Support Helps
Gifts to the Bishop’s Appeal support parish communities, vocations and clergy, local mission churches, faith formation and other ministries throughout the Diocese. This year, the Appeal also reaches beyond Vancouver Island through support for the Diocese of Whitehorse and for people displaced by war in Lebanon.
The Appeal also directly supports Our Lady Queen of Peace. Our parish portion will be used to replenish our contingency fund, helping us remain prepared for future needs. Of every dollar raised up to our $18,000 goal, 20% will return to our parish. If we exceed our goal, 80% of every additional dollar raised will return to Our Lady Queen of Peace.
